He has been actively involved with youth empowering organizations both political and apolitical since 2006. He has been an active member in one of the biggest political parties in Lebanon, and thus involved in the design, implementation and evaluation of big social events aiming at raising awareness on several issues faced by youth nowadays. He has always been interested in the evolution of democracy within a historical framework and particularly in Lebanon. At the practical level, this has been translated into involvement in democratic procedures particularly elections; where his role was to ensure transparency and compliance with electoral laws and procedures repetitive times. He aims to further promote the role of youth in the development of the country and in the democratic procedures ensuring this.

'''Agnija Kazuša''' is one of the [[Core Participant|Core Participants]] of the European SDDP of the [[Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era]] project.
Agnija is a certified meditation and mindfulness coach, a writer and a youth worker. Originally from Latvia, she keeps travelling all around the world – from Helsinki to Cairo, from Bogota to Tokyo – to continuously search, learn and discover herself within different cultures, customs and religions.

She started her career as a freelance journalist, working for one of the most popular newspapers in Latvia, "Diena" and other print and online media. Back then, she also had her radio show on an internet radio station, as well as she was an editor-in-chief at the local newspaper in Latvia.

Having gained a Master’s degree in Communication Science, she spent three years teaching English in Egypt, Latvia, Morocco, India and China. She became actively involved in global cooperation and international youth organizations, like AEGEE, AIESEC, European Youth Press, Anna Lindh Foundation and FEJS Latvija, which she initiated and co-founded in 2008. The aim of FEJS Latvija is to allow local journalism students and media makers improve their professional skills and connect with each other. She is currently a member of the Middle East and North Africa Committee (menac).

After her life and work experience in Egypt, she started a creative writing career, and wrote her first novel "Three Cups of Egypt". It was published in a web portal for women "Sievietes Pasaule". From 2013 until 2015 she took Creative Writing classes at the Literary Academy in Riga. During this period, she wrote her second novel "Bruno" and several short stories; some of them have been published by internet journal "Satori" and awarded and published by the European Institute of the Mediterranean "A Sea of Words" short story contest.

In the beginning of 2015, she became actively involved in the World Peace Initiative Foundation project Peace Revolution that changed her life and opened her eyes to a happier and healthier being thanks to a daily practice of meditation. In November 2015, she became a Peace Architect during a training that she attended in Thailand. Now she has embarked on a mission to share her inner peace with everyone and inspire others on their journey to happiness.

These are international experts and/or scientists in the fields of communication strategy, communication policy, promotion and dissemination of results. Their role is to mentor the mentee in all her/his efforts from developing a strategy to promote her'/his messages all the way to identifying, contacting and convincing relevant stakeholders and./or decision makers to support them in all their endeavours.

One Mentor in Digital Communication Strategy and Policy will mentor 5 Mentees, one per Continent.

==Biography==
Irma Wilson lives in Johannesburg, South Africa and is active globally.
She is the founder of FutureSharp; a member of the Peer-to-Peer Foundation; linked to the Centre for Governance Innovation; sits on the board of the South African Innovation Network; an associate advisor of ci2i co-creation global group who pursues the best possible outcome for us all in the ongoing Human Project.

She is a futurist, business unusual strategist, edge inhabiter and provocateur, who keeps a finger on the Social Economic and Inclusive Innovation pulses. She looks at meta trends and speak on behalf of future generations. She investigates the ways in which imagination and individual agency can be activated to create engaged global citizens. A whole systems design thinker with special attention on collective intelligence creation, processes towards co-creation, meme design and the spread thereof.

She is an icebreaker; She see connections; She contextualize and prepares the terrain, prepares the table for deal-makers; She makes what is not yet visible, visible; She is a collaborative researcher, interactive conversation facilitator and keynote speaker. Creativity activated is powerful.

Currently focused on making generative normative futures visible, understood and invite participation in creating, with implementation of whole systems thinking and architecture. Interested in the intersection between futurism and behavioral change; in giving voice to actionable working alternatives; surfacing existing means through which people can engage in and act upon insights; all aligned with a directionality towards creating conditions for life, regeneration towards a generative thriving world with creatively engaged citizens.

She is the founder and CEO of FutureSharp, since November 2011.
FutureSharp makes Africa-to-Africa innovation for inclusive development visible, attractive, understood and implementable in a variety of ways: build systems of support and facilitate communities to redefine their needs, re-examine beliefs and values, map their competencies and implement re-enlivenment of Ubuntu using p2p methods, new organisational as well as collective intelligence technologies. This includes roadshows, collaborative media content & reportage and governance innovation projects. FutureSharp engages both at grassroots and policy level. The African focus is on localized regeneration, action research and understanding on how to communicate that which is borne from massive complexity, in difficult circumstances to great diversity in non-obfuscating language.

'''Raul Espejo''' (born 1964) is an international expert in organisational cybernetics. His most recent book “Organizational Systems: Managing Complexity with the Viable System Model” was published by Springer early in 2011 (co-authored with Alfonso Reyes) and is co-author of two other books and co-editor of three. He has published over a 100 articles in journals and books. In the early 70s, during the Allende’s government in Chile, he was Operational Director of the CYBERSYN project under the scientific direction of Stafford Beer. Since then until 2003, he worked at the Manchester Business School in the UK, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Laxenburg, Austria and the universities of Aston and Lincoln in the UK.

In 1985 he created in the Science Park of Aston University Syncho Ltd, an enterprise in the field of organisational cybernetics. From there he has done research in collaboration with a wide range of institutions worldwide, mainly in organisational diagnosis and design, with a focus on social transformation, organisational learning and democratic processes.

Currently he is Director-General of the World Organization of Systems and Cybernetics and Director of Syncho Ltd in the UK.

==Reinventing Democracy==
He is interested in inclusive democracy and he has been working on this subject for 45 years. He is concerned about the fact that there is a distance between citizens and politicians and a lack of proper engagement in the policy processes. Years ago and in collaboration with others, he developed a project called Autonomitas, which intended to send real life messages to policy makers about the pain or pleasures that their actions and policies had on the population. He identifies a dramatic change in this issue over the years and he sees that nowadays we have all kinds of social media which help people to send messages to policy makers/politicians in instant time (twitter/facebook etc). His view is that the real problem now in terms of inclusive democracy is that politicians are overwhelmed by these messages and the challenge now is to create mechanisms, structures and communications which can be used in an effective balance between citizens’ views and the capacity of politicians to respond.

==Biography==
Alexander Laszlo is the son of [[Ervin László]], and was born in [[Fribourg]], [[Switzerland]]. He received a BA from [[Haverford College]], with a major in International and Comparative Political Science and a minor in Human Physiology. At the [[University of Pennsylvania]] he received his MA in History and Sociology of Science, and a PhD in the interdisciplinary field of Science and Technology Policy.

He has been faculty member of both the MBA in Sustainable Business at [[Bainbridge Graduate Institute]] and the MBA in Sustainable Management at the [[Presidio School of Management]] since the first year of operation of each program. Laszlo now serves as Adjunct Faculty in the MBA in Sustainable Entrepreneurship program of the Green MBA at [[Dominican University of California|Dominican University]], in the Leadership of Sustainable Systems program at both the Master’s and Doctoral levels at [[Saybrook Graduate School]] & Research Center, and on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Center for Advanced Study at the Giordano Bruno GlobalShift University.

He has worked for the [[UNESCO]] Regional Office for Science & Technology for Europe, the Italian Electric Power Agency, and the Office of Postsecondary Education of the [[U.S. Department of Education]]. Laszlo applies in his research, teachings and practice systems thinking, policy analysis, and technology assessment to issues of individual and collective empowerment, and community-building activities on the design and implementation of evolutionary pathways for self-directed sustainability. Laszlo teaches on [[evolutionary]] [[leadership]], [[collaboration]], and [[systems thinking]] at a variety of MBA and Doctoral programs internationally.

==Reinventing Democracy==
He believes that the issue of reinventing democracy in the digital era is of a critical importance. The issues around democracy are issues about participation and engagement in civic life and fundamental issues of how we create meaning together. How we use technology to connect us to life is for him a critical question for participatory and civic engagement.
As he suggests, there are four levels to this challenge, which can lead us through technologies to ways that can connect us in a true participatory reinvention of democracy. 
1. How we use technology to bring meaning into our own personal life in the context of our interactions in community (Intra-personal level of democratic life of participation in a civic society) 
2. Engaging with others and making decisions together (Inter-personal level of democratic life of participation in a civic society) 
3. How do we connect and make decisions in ways that are inculusive of other forms of life. Trees, plans, animals, they are active members with us in the co-creation of meaning. (Trans-species level of democratic life of participation in a civic society) 
4. How do we engage in dialogue with our ancestors and future generations – how do we engage them in the narrative in a participatory way that prepares and anticipates questions and opportunities for future generations and carries forward the narratives and ideas of participation from previous generations.
