He is an Information and Communication Technology professional whose focus is in ICT4Democracy and ICT4Governance; currently developing software solutions that may enforce involvement of the youth in governance and democracy issues. A strong advocate for transparency and accountability, he believes in involvement of computer applications to initiate and maintain communication between office bearers and their subordinates. Only if people knew what and how decisions that affect them are made, they would sacrifice and dedicate their lives in development of their country and areas.

He currently lectures in Information and Communication technology at Mzuzu University, Malawi. Besides, he is currently the coordinator of the Computer Studies for High Schools (CS4HS) and also the director of Tech Minds, a society that encourages youth to develop and utilize computers in a way that will have a positive impact in their lives.

My job’s main objective is to effectively harness the potential of the youth and equip them with knowledge and skills necessary for their full participation in the social, cultural, economic and political development of the country. The areas of focus are on skills training for self-employment, preventative health services, and provision of recreational facilities.

I also empower the youth by creating new opportunities for self-reliance by providing end user computing courses service which runs in cohorts. We have also a library which helps the youths access the information they need.

Apart from the above I oversee a youth hub which has 54 youth members around Mzuzu and has its own committee. The youth hub provides different services to the country like awareness campaigns, training on life skills, talent displays, physical exercises, helps the needy, capacity building for the youths, theatre for development.

I joined a network of youth who work towards achieving sustainable development goals, respect of rule of law, good governance and inclusion of youths in local government structures.

Developing Countries continues to feel the effects of successive regimes in which presidents and elected representatives have centralised power and distributed patronage in ways that influence the allocation of public resources towards service delivery and projects. Patchy decentralisation means key functions are still overseen centrally and resources are allocated according to patronage patterns rather than need or implementation capacity. As a result, service delivery and implementation of projects remains highly constrained. Service delivery and implementation of projects by the Government is implemented at the mercy of leaders with no proper mechanism for citizen to demand, monitor, report and voice out. Young people will use structured dialogue to identify local governance issues that are priorties for youth in their respective communities

The project will also use competitions, online social media, radio, television and awareness meetings s to get them inspired and more involved in effecting positive change in their communities.

In the long term, it is anticipated that the project will ensure that;
>young people have greater understanding of governance
>Young people actively participate in governance and their decisions are taken on board.
>there is greater engagement between youth and local officials.
